Section 28 of the German Data Protection Act (BDSG)

The operator of this internet site, pursuant to Section 28 of the German Data Protection Act (BDSG), objects to any commercial use and disclosure of information provided in this domain and its sub-pages. Unsolicited transmission of advertisements by e-mail or via other channels is undesirable and is hereby expressly prohibited.

Image rights

The images in this domain are subject to copyright unless otherwise indicated. Any duplication, alteration or use thereof is expressly permitted only with prior written approval.

Privacy policy

Personal data

Personal data is information which allows a person to be identified and which can therefore be traced back to an individual. This includes his or her name, email address or phone number. But data showing individual preferences, hobbies or membership of organisations, or indicating the websites which an individual has viewed, also count as personal data.

Only if the data are stored anonymously, and therefore without reference to a specific person (for example, the number of the visits to a website), are they deemed to be not personal. Should there be legitimate reasons for complaint, please contact the person responsible for this website in writing immediately. Should violations of rights be discovered, this person will of course remove the affected website content at once.

Collection of access data

The provider collects data about each access to its pages. This data is stored anonymously without reference to a specific person.

These access data include:

  • Name of website accessed,
  • File, date and time of access,
  • Volume of data transmitted,
  • Notification of successful download,
  • Browser type, plus version,
  • User’s operating system,
  • Referrer URL (website previously visited) and requesting provider (e.g. T-Online),
  • Data requested from the provider’s server.

The provider will use the protocol data, without assigning them to an individual user, only for purposes of statistical evaluation, in order to operate and optimise its pages. The provider reserves the right, however, to verify the protocol data subsequently if there is reasonable and specific suspicion of unlawful use.

COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal data will only be collected and used by the provider if this is legally permissible or if users consent to the data collection. As a rule, when accessing the service the user will recognise that data is being stored: e.g. name, email address and message when using a contact form or comment form.

Warning notices and data security

The provider has taken organizational, contractual and technical precautions to ensure that the provisions of data-protection legislation are observed. Each user should be aware, however, that absolute control of access to data in the public domain is not possible. Thus sensitive information, such as intimate details, illnesses, religious views, or similar matters, should not be published at all as far as possible. Should they be published, however, it must be realised that their disclosure on the internet often cannot be reversed.

Data transmission to third parties

Users‘ data are only passed on to third parties if this is legally permissible or if a user has consented to the transmission. Users‘ data will never be sold or transmitted to third parties for advertising purposes, or for the purpose of creating user profiles, without consent.

Transmission of data to third parties abroad

Data is transmitted to third parties abroad only within the scope of statutory requirements. Transmission to countries outside the European Union or to another of the contracting parties to the European Economic Area is only done if such countries have an adequate level of data protection pursuant to the German Data Protection Act. This is assumed for third parties in the United States if they have bound themselves to the provisions of the „Safe Harbour“ Agreement (for example Google).

Cookies

The provider uses „cookies“ on its internet pages. Cookies are small files which are deposited in the user’s computer and can store information for the provider. Temporary cookies are deleted after closing the browser, permanent Cookies are kept for a given period and can provide stored information when reopening the site.

Cookies are used on the one hand to facilitate the use of the service. Thus, a cookie stores a user’s login status, so he does not have to log in again every time.

Cookies are also used for statistical or marketing purposes, in order to record how the site is being used. This recording is done anonymously or by way of a pseudonym, which means that the data are stored without allocation to a certain user. These cookies are set by the provider itself, but also by third parties (e.g. advertising partners).

The user can object to this use of his data at any time via a contact field provided at the end the Data Protection Declaration. If the provider cannot reasonably be expected, for technical or economic reasons, to suspend this type of data processing for individual users, it will be entitled to terminate the usage agreement with the user.

The user can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option by which the storing of cookies is restricted or completely prevented. The provider is endeavouring to design the site so that the use of Cookies is not necessary. It should be noted, however, that use – and particularly convenience of use – will be restricted without cookies.

Google AdSense

If Google Adsense, an advertisement service of Google Inc., USA („Google“), is being used to place advertisements through text ads or banner ads, the user’s browser stores a cookie transmitted through Google or a third party. The information stored in the cookie can be collected, used and passed on through Google or third parties. In addition, Google Adsense uses so-called „web beacons“ to collect information. These are small and invisible images that enable Google to record and evaluate activity such as visitor traffic on the site.

The information thus gained about the user’s activity on this site will be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google uses the information thus gained to evaluate use of the AdSense ads. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or when such third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. By using this website, the user consents to the processing of his or her data by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

The user can restrict or prevent the collection of this information by Google by adjusting the cookie setting in the browser (see. Section „Cookies“).

Facebook social plugins

This site may use the social plugins („plugins“) of facebook.com, the social network operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). Plugins can be recognised by one of the Facebook logos (white „f“ on a blue tile or a „thumbs up“ symbol), or are indicated by the additional text „Facebook social plugin.“ A list of Facebook social plugins, and their appearance, can be seen here: http://developers.facebook.com/plugins.

If users request a website on these internet pages which includes a plugin of this type, your browser will establish a direct connection with Facebook servers. The content of the plugins will be transmitted directly to your browser by Facebook and will be included by it in the web page. The provider therefore has no influence on the scope of the data which Facebook collects by means of this plugin. Users should therefore note as follows: when you access the plugins, Facebook is notified of the fact that you have called up the corresponding page on our website. If you are logged in to Facebook, your visit can be connected to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking “Like”, or entering a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted from your browser directly to Facebook and stored by it. If you are not a Facebook member, it may still be possible for Facebook to identify and store your IP address. For information on the purpose and extent of data capture by Facebook, and the further processing and use of such data, and on your rights in this regard, including turn-off options for the protection of your personal privacy, please refer to the Facebook data-protection notice: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

If you are a Facebook member and do not want Facebook to collect data about you via this internet website, or to link this with your data stored on Facebook, you need to log off from Facebook before going to our website. For information on the purpose and extent of data capture by Facebook, and the further processing and use of such data, and on your rights in this regard, including turn-off options for the protection of your personal privacy, please refer to the Facebook data-protection notice: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

If you are a Facebook member and do not want Facebook to collect data about you via this internet website and to link this with your data stored on Facebook, you need to log off from Facebook before going to our website.

Data collection and use by third parties

Third-party services may also be provided as part of this site. These may involve integrated third-party applications, banners or links. These products are identified as third-party services in a manner visible for users. The provider’s data-protection regulations do not apply to these services, which are subject instead to the regulations of the third parties concerned.

Revocation, alterations, corrections and updates

Users have the option at any time to contact the provider (contact addresses are available in these publisher’s Details) and to request modification, correction or deletion of their data. Users can also object to the creation of the pseudonymous user profiles for purposes of advertising and market research (contact addresses are available in these Publisher’s Details). In this case the provider shall be entitled to exclude the user from the service. This shall apply in particular if exceptions for individual users are not technically or economically feasible.

Changes to the Privacy Statement

The provider hereby reserves the right to change its privacy policy to reflect changes in legislation or changes to the service and to data processing. Users will be informed of the amended privacy policy at an appropriate place.

CONTACT, QUESTIONS, INFORMATION AND SUGGESTIONS

The provider can be reached to obtain information, raise objections, ask questions, make comments and provide suggestions relating to the Data Protection Declaration by using the contact field in the Publisher’s Details.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. („Google“). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for evaluating your use of the website, for compiling reports about activity on the website for the website operators, and for providing further services in connection with website and internet usage. Google may also supply this information to third parties, provided this is regulated by law, or as far as third parties process these data by order of Google. Google will in no case combine your IP address with other data by Google. You can prevent installation of the cookies by configuring your browser software accordingly; we must point out, however, that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website in full. By using this website you confirm that you agree with use of the data collected about you by Google in the manner and for the purpose set out above.
